Twice a week I get lost in a track loop, while parents of kids of all ages chat about the important other stuff. I have my ears covered by my eighties music, blasting at a safe level, I mouth the words, I match my pace to the rhythm of my music.
I am lost in the music and I like to walk the track in both directions. Why? Just because I can.
Every time I do this, there is a different parent that feels compelled to point out I am walking backwards. They sign and smile, they show with movements that I need to go the other way, they approach me and let me know.
I love it.
